Eva Longoria sure seems happy with her boyfriend Eduardo Cruz -- but she's not hearing wedding bells. At least, not yet. In an interview with Access Hollywood Live, Longoria admits it's too soon after her divorce from Tony Parker to think about walking down the aisle again.
"I'm not opposed to it, I just don't really give it a lot of thought right now," says Longoria, 36, who's been publicly dating Cruz, 26, since January (the same month in which Eva's divorce was finalized). "Ask a woman after divorce if she's gonna get married, you won't get an honest answer."
Guess that squashes Star magazine's report that Eva and Eduardo were already engaged! This week's issue claims that singer Cruz proposed on a yacht in the Mediterranean in July, while the couple was vacationing with Eduardo's sister Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem. Their source claimed that Eva said "yes," and then the couple celebrated by jumping into the ocean. But Longoria's publicist told E! Online that the rumor was false, and sure enough Eva's ring finger was bare when she and Cruz dined at her Los Angeles restaurant Beso last night.
The Desperate Housewives actress may not be a in a rush to remarry now, but she says she won't hesitate when the time is right. A guest at Kim Kardashian's recent wedding, Longoria approved of the reality star's hastily planned festivities.
"I never believe in long engagements," says Longoria. "People think engagement is another step. It's not another step. You're single and then you're married... So many guys get engaged to buy time. If I'm the bride I'm like, oh no, all right, let's get going."
